Nearly 5,000 apartment owners have so far signed up to use Scanlans’ online portal as the firm continues to invest in technology to improve its service to clients.

The portal provides secure access so owners can view their service charge accounts, make online payments, see documents relating to their property and receive meeting minutes and newsletters.

It also enables Scanlans’ team to update them with details about repairs.

Since the launch last year, over 4,900 property owners have signed up to the portal.

Scanlans partner Ian Magenis said: “The storage of historical data such as meeting minutes, insurance policies and payment history and accounts give owners greater access to important information housed in a single, secure location.

“The portal also provides for safe and convenient transactions. It is a key part of our ongoing drive to use technology to improve the service we provide to our customers.”

Meanwhile, the firm has adopted a new IT system to further improve the efficiency of the services provided by Scanlans Property Management.

The new task management system, called Maintenance Manager, has been supplied by MRI Software, a specialist provider to the property management sector.

It means all repairs and tasks are now electronically recorded, managed and monitored by the Scanlans team.

Ian said: “It’s an ideal reporting tool for the staff and it means everything is logged and tracked electronically, making the process significantly more efficient.”
